<BR>Job Description:<BR><BR> WHY WAIT?<BR>Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity?<BR>This may be your lucky day!<BR>It is time for a change, and CDI can help!<BR><BR>We have an immediate need for a Software Technician V.<BR><BR>JOB DESCRIPTION<BR>Primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical support to Mfg Assoc., perform software and firmware updates on test equipment, conduct testing per instruction from the engineering team and to report defects in QC system. <BR><BR>Primary Responsibilities: <BR>1. Create test plans for new software releases. <BR>2. Execute test plans per instructions. <BR>3. Provide technical support to Mfg Associates as needed. <BR>4. Report defects in QC system. <BR>5. Verify defect repair. <BR>6. Update system software per defined schedule. <BR>7. Update system firmware as needed. <BR>8. Setup hardware to accommodate testing of new systems. <BR>9. Train new personnel on test processes. <BR>10. Design PM schedules and perform Pams per schedule. <BR>11. Detailed record tracking and reporting across multiple applications. <BR>12. Distribution of reports across a broad distribution. <BR>13. Other duties as assigned. <BR><BR><BR>Performs audits and tests of software products in accordance with software test plans and procedures. Maintains documentation of test operations and reports results to engineering. Identifies actual or potential problems in test plans or company products. <BR>Senior: Applies extensive knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks in creative and effective ways. Comprehensive understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job. Works on assignments that are complex in nature and require judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions. Work is completed with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures. May determine methods and procedures for new assignments. <BR><BR>Typically an Associates degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years of experience. May include highly experienced individuals performing higher level or equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field.
