Position: Consulting Engineering Office Manager (Senior Civil Engineer or Industrial Engineer Preferred)

Office Locations: Portland, OR

Compensation: $115,000 to $130,000 per year salary DOE plus highly competitive benefits and bonus package

JOB SUMMARY:

The Johnson Group Staffing Company, Inc. is a technical staffing company specializing in Architecture, Engineering & Construction Management employment opportunities. Our client, a large highly prestigious Multidisciplinary Engineering Consulting firm specializing in public infrastructure and industrial site and facilities projects; actively seeks a Senior Engineer to take on an Office Manager role within their Portland, Oregon office.

The ideal candidate for this Engineering Office Manager position will poses a bachelors or masters degree in either Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Candidates must have strong team/ office leadership skills, sales/ business development skills; and a history of working on quality public sector infrastructure projects (Municipal, Education, Federal, etc) or industrial (Food Processing plant, Manufacturing plants/ facilities) projects. It is strongly preferred that this professional be from the Oregon, Washington, or Idaho and have considerable Northwest region client an industry contacts and relationships. Senior Engineer must have a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of practical client-oriented technical consulting experience. Must be able to provide leadership, business development and project management through their proven track record building and inspiring teams, successfully cultivating clients, and achieving consistent technical and project management performance.

Senior Engineers role and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Will be the visible leader and manager of all aspects of the office, focused on the continued success of the firm.

Build awareness and branding of this firm in the local market for the infrastructure and industrial engineering and construction markets.

Forecast workload and staff availability and manage staff to match revenue available.

Use networking and other tools to recruit key staff to meet needs for expertise.

Conduct goal planning for staff and help create and monitor staff development plans.

Lead strategic marketing and project pursuit efforts and assist staff to market company services through their contacts specific to their own areas of expertise.

Oversee project selection, project scoping and budgeting, and project execution resulting in good financial performance.

Be an engaged technical expert and project manager with significant client contact and project responsibilities
